FilteredRecentChanges

A way to filter the recent changes by user, part of a wiki, or other rules. In other words, search in recent changes, or see recent changes in search results

Use cases:

• Joe wants to add an a forum like section to a wiki. The users will be interested in changes to the ForumPage sub pages.
• Ruth wants to add a recent changes list on her team project page, displaying changes only in the project pages, marked by category.
• Sacha wants to see the recent changes of a suspected user.

Possibilities

There are generally two cases:

1. Saved searches - implemented as macro calls with some arguments 2. Temporary searches - add filter using graphical user interface, to be used for one request. It would be nice if the user interface will allow the user to save the current search/filtered recent changes, to be recalled later.

Problems

• It is better for the community that users watch the whole wiki, and not a part of it.
• Confusion with unfiltered recent changes. A user may think that he see all the changes, while the changes are filtered.
