The project consists of a way to sync the Palm memos with a wiki. “Sync” means doing the right thing:
- if one copy is changed and the other isn’t, the unchanged one gets overwritten
- If both are changed, the system does something nondestructive.
I have a massive contacts database in Oddmuse - everyone I’ve ever heard about in the IT industry in my city, and their relationships, job history and personality quirks (“Is afraid of any kind of food that is less than 2cm thick” “Stutters uncontrollably if you mention the word deadline” “Pathological liar”.) I call this my Intel Database.
I also have a massive contacts database on my Palm for contact info that I actually use each day; there’s a substantial overlap.
I also have a really, really massive memo databse on my Palm of thousands of things I would like to remember, e.g.
- the name of the really interesting panorama in Wrocław: “The Battle of Racławice”.
- Trcius Pensione, unbelievably good deal on a hotel in Krakow - 200PLN / night
- Who recommended which Chinese restaurants in my home city.
- Must see the big sculpture garden in Oslow
- License plate number, VIN, engine and transmission type of my vehicles
- Things to tell my friend Larry when I next see him.
- Notes I took during a meeting with a client
- Favourite Recipe for Swedish Creme (and a hundred other recipes)
- What I did during my trip to Costa Rica in 2002
- A hundred jokes
- and on and on and on

Possible elements:
- a wiki engine for the Palm (google wiki palm for more info)
