SmallPages

Description

This feature (action) will show a list of “small” pages present in your wiki.

This is usefull for editors, because they can find articles that thay can expand.

A page is considered “small” when it contains less text than a specified thereshold. It can be measured in characters, words, sentences, lines, links or a (weighted) combination of these.

Advantages

Gives a list of pages that might require additional attention.

Lets the community cope with user who will create pages without content, just because there are links to them somewhere, because they “don’t like” how the dead links are displayed.

Problems

It’s not clear when a wiki page should be considered “small” – it depends on the wiki site, and can change with time as the wiki community changes.

Small page shouldn’t be confused with MeatBall:ShallowPage. Some pages are supposed to be small, and some large pages can still be shallow – so when a page appears on the SmallPages list, it doesn’t automatically mean it should be fixed or deleted. Care must be taken to let the wikizens know that.
